Question: What is a ‘Solar Panel Generator’
March 1, 2011 No CommentsI was asked by a reader what a Solar Panel Generator is.
Though it sounds like something that somehow automatically builds solar panels from probably solar cells, and as much as I believe that could be a nice idea to lower the costs for your solar panels, it is actually much more mundane.
THE Solar Panel Generator
Actually the expression is simply used for a system that allows you to generate electricity whenever you need it and wherever you need it, also known as Solar Power Generators.
Most solar Power Generators not only generate electricity, but also have a battery pack included, so that you even have electricity for some time even when the sun does not shine.
This may be an ideal system for you if you want to be prepared for power outages, want to power a little fridge in the shed without the cabling or believe that there will be long-term energy problems ahead (because ie. of riots etc.)
A Solar Power Generator is not strong enough (means does not have enough panels/is not big enough) to power your complete home.
It is designed to provide you with enough energy to power the radio or PC, in case the grid is offline.
You can read more about that here: Solar Power Generator
